I'm a student currently attending university!I spend much of my free time on the computer, drawing artwork, developing my fictional universe, honing my programming skills, and playing video games.

As an artist

I like to draw fictional characters in a variety of scenarios. Often I draw my own characters. I want to improve my skills, but mainly I just want to share my ideas with other people and have fun drawing artwork.I'm not taking commissions, and I only draw other people's characters when I feel like it. If a character catches my eye, I may or may not draw them - it depends on my free time. You can find my works on Newgrounds, Tumblr, and Twitter.

As a worldbuilder

I do worldbuilding because it allows me to explore various ideas in fiction, combine them together, interpret them differently, etc. My strongest interests are science fiction and fantasy. (Please don't ask me what my favourite books are, I don't do a lot of reading these days.)The Olliverse is the main fictional world (or as a friend of mine calls it "authorverse") that I've been developing since 2016. Practically all of my characters reside in this fictional world. The term "Olliverse" is weird though since it either refers to
1) the Multiverse model my fictional works are set in,
2) a group of interrelated universes my fictional works are set in, or
3) any of the universes named "Olliverse" and suffixed with a unique identity, such as "Olliverse Alpha" for the first Olliverse created, and "Olliverse Beta" for the replacement universe after Olliverse Alpha was destroyed.
What the Olliverse contains is whatever I feel like adding, though often I explore science fiction and magical elements. The Olliverse is set in a utopian future where goodness prevails, but boredom leads to funky shenanigans occurring. Magic sees a combination with digital technology, and entities from other universes find their way into this world.Right now, I haven't shared a lot about this world on the internet yet. Some day, I will start to develop my Toyhouse as a repository for my characters.

As a programmer

My programming adventures began with HTML and CSS when I wanted to format a wiki and make it look cooler in my eyes. During that time. I had to make a lot of things like templates from scratch, so I learned HTML and CSS to figure out how to make good-looking templates.Along the way, I had to learn JavaScript in order to create collapsible elements (or elements that are hidden when a button is clicked). I began with copy-pasting code, and my desire to learn more about how this code works pushed me to actually learn JavaScript. My learning process involves wanting to do something and looking up how to do it. From there, I learned about variables, functions, arrays, objects, et cetera. Most of my coding work revolves around private projects. Once in a blue moon, I share my work on Github.

As a video gamer

When I feel particularly lazy in my free time, I play video games just to clear my mind. I stick to single-player games because I dislike the competitive nature of multiplayer games. When I have friends around though, I'm more than willing to play multiplayer games because they're much more enjoyable with trustworthy friends playing with you.My adventures on the internet began with video games. As I jumped from video game to video game, I joined communities revolving around certain video games.I don't stick to one video game forever; I jump between video games depending on what I feel like investing my time in. Video games that I play:

  • Minecraft: Probably the most important video game to me, as it pushed me to explore the internet further through Youtube. I began with vanilla and slowly explored mods, but my modded adventures only ramped up when I upgraded my PC.

  • Terraria: It's a really fun game; the progression is fun and the game's fantastical nature is what makes it even more fun. What makes the game better to me is the wonderful developers that want to make the game the best it can possibly be. The mods developed by the community are also really fun, but I wish that the modding sub-community was more mature.

  • Geometry Dash: When I play this game, I usually just stick to the easier level. I don't feel like investing my time in demon levels. This game is also really important to me since it led me to the Geometry Dash Wiki, where I made friends with great people who I still regularly interact with.

  • Team Fortress 2: The game, despite its problems, is ultimately full of silly fun. The humour of the game and the community is what keeps me coming back to this game, as well as the wonderful feeling of accomplishing a goal as a team.

  • Ultrakill: When my friends began to show the game and talk often about it, I grew intrigued and wanted to check it out. After playing the demo, I found myself wanting more, so I bought the game. It's probably one of my most worthwhile investments in a while. The fast-paced action and the feeling of power alongside it makes playing the game feel so good, as well as overcoming difficult hurdles.

Frequently asked questions

The frequency of these questions being asked is dubious.

  • Can I ask you a question? Please, feel free to! You can ask me in my links.

  • How did you get your username?

  • How do you pronounce it? [oy-night]

  • Any nicknames? You can also call me 'Oin' [oyn] or 'Oiniteo' [oy-nih-tee-oh].

  • Status? Single. I need to work on my future first!

  • Sexual orientation? Thinking about it hasn't lead me anywhere, and I find it is further complicated by my genderfluidity, so I just don't bother labelling myself in this aspect.

  • Favourite colours? Blue and orange. (It's not white and red; they're just the colour motifs of my 'sona character.)

  • Where did the term 'Olliverse' come from? I forgot, but I suspect it's a portmanteau of my former nickname 'Olly' and the world 'universe'.

  • What kind of Minecraft mods do you like? Tech mods, especially Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, and Create.

  • What Terraria mods do you like? Fargo's Soul, Thorium.

  • What is your TF2 main? Medic, initially out of necessity, now because I love the deeper intricacies of and the praise that comes with the class.
